Since obtaining my counseling license in 2003 from the University of South Carolina School of Social Work and my PhD in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I have practiced in a variety of settings with a wide range of clientele.
Talking with children and pre-adolescents as a school counselor, adolescents and teens as a counselor at a boarding school, and college students, young adults and parents as a college professor, I feel confident we can overcome your adversities together.
From marriage/intimacy, addiction and substance abuse, adolescent behavioral and mental health issues, trauma and other adverse childhood experiences - there are not many issues I have not encountered.
Whether it is a specific event or a chronic illness,
I think by facilitating emotional resilience, we can overcome those challenges and life stressors together.
